Pubs, bars and the on-trade
Pub And Bar Promotion Teams
A pub or bar promotion is brand activity run inside a licensed venue, usually in the evening, with staff moving between tables, working the bar or running a branded serve. The customer is relaxed, already drinking and open to trying something new.
We supply the teams for on-trade activity across the UK: brand ambassadors, sampling staff, promotional models, costume characters and event staff for launches, sponsor bars and prize mechanics, plus event managers for campaigns touring many venues.
Most bookings are Thursday to Saturday evenings and around big fixtures. A drinks brand can cover a single flagship bar or run the same activation in twenty venues over a month.
Itemised quote, usually within hours. Day rates, hours and on-costs listed for every pub and every night.
Assigned the moment the quote is signed off, with 24/7 support through the evening shifts.
Selected by our operations team on skills, experience and location, not on who is free that night.
Your briefing form becomes a tailored document: the brand, the serve, the audience and the key messages.
Right to work and ID checked before deployment. Employer and Public Liability insurance on every booking. Alcohol licensing and DBS where the venue requires them.
We are the employer. PAYE, tax, National Insurance and HR are dealt with in house and you get one invoice.
Shift reminders in advance, geo-tagged check-ins at the door, attendance monitored live.
Reporting with attendance confirmation, on-site photos and feedback, added at a quoted price.
The team at Executional are always so reliable and helpful. We’ve worked with them for a few years and they go the extra mile to offer advice and make plans easier. Highly recommend!

Staff we supply
Teams For The Bar And The Tables
On-trade work is about the serve and the conversation around it. These are the roles we supply into pubs, bars and hospitality venues.
Table Visit Teams
Table teams move around the venue introducing the product to groups, which suits a launch where the aim is to get a first drink into people’s hands.
- Introducing a new drink or a promotion table by table
- Explaining the product and the offer set out in your briefing document
- Encouraging the first order at the bar
Suits: beer and cider, spirits and RTDs, soft drinks, energy drinks
Perfect Serve Hosts
Serve hosts run a draught or pouring station inside the venue, presenting the product the way the brand wants it served.
- Managing a branded sampling station on the bar or a dedicated area
- Serving tasters and full serves in the correct glassware
- Talking through the brand story while they pour
Suits: draught launches, premium lager, cider, cocktails
Prize Mechanic Hosts
Mechanic hosts run a game around the purchase, such as a scratch card or a spin to win, which gives customers a reason to choose your brand at the bar.
- Running scratch, spin or pick mechanics through the evening
- Handing out prizes and merchandise
- Working alongside a photo wall or a branded build
Suits: sports sponsorships, summer campaigns, seasonal launches
Terrace And Doorway Crews
Doorway crews work the entrance, the terrace and the pavement outside, catching people as they arrive and groups deciding where to go next.
- Handing out vouchers and printed offers at the door
- Working a beer garden or terrace during the summer
- Appearing in costume or with props to draw people in
Suits: venue openings, media and publishers, drinks brands, local retail
Multi-Venue Trade Leads
Trade leads look after an activation running in many venues, keeping the same serve and the same brief in every pub on the list.
- Coordinating teams across a city or a pub group
- Liaising with venue managers on timing, stock and space
- Acting as your single point of contact for the run
Larger campaigns
One Activation, Twenty Venues
Drinks brands rarely stop at one pub. A launch is usually repeated across a pub group or a city over several weeks. Our event managers and campaign leads take on the logistics, keep the teams aligned and speak to each venue manager before the night.
Each venue is staffed from the nearest of our 40 UK hubs, so a run through Liverpool, Sheffield and Nottingham uses local people in every pub rather than a travelling team.
