Northern Rail Ice creams onboard Yorkshire trains

What we did

Northern Rail in Leeds wanted to give summer passengers an unexpected treat and turn everyday train journeys into something memorable, under its Sweeter by Train campaign. We supplied Leeds sampling and event staff to deliver the activation onboard, with free ice cream, family-friendly props and activity packs.

Two teams of brand ambassadors covered three return journeys between them, on the Leeds to Ilkley and Leeds to Skipton routes.

• Dressed carriages with Northern and ice cream bunting
• Gave passengers free ice creams, props and activity packs
• Handed colouring sheets to kids while adults enjoyed their treats
• Shared the Sweeter by Train message carriage by carriage
• Kept the activity family friendly and fun from one end of the train to the other
• Kept spaces tidy, safe and running smoothly on every journey
